12And again, Isaiah saith,
There shall be the root of Jesse,
And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles;
On him shall the Gentiles hope.
12 And again Isaiah says,
“The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.”
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
“The root of Jesse will come,
even the one who rises to rule over the Gentiles;
in him the Gentiles will put their hope.”
12and again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, and He who is rising to rule nations—on Him will nations hope”;
Again Isaiah says, ``THERE SHALL COME THE ROOT OF JESSE, AND HE WHO ARISES TO RULE OVER THE GENTILES, IN HIM SHALL THE GENTILES HOPE."
12And in another place Isaiah said,
“The heir to David’s throne*15:12a Greek The root of Jesse. David was the son of Jesse. will come,
and he will rule over the Gentiles.
They will place their hope on him.”*15:12b Isa 11:10 (Greek version).
