What is gtWow?

Get The Word Out Worldwide (gtWow) is a mission to spread the word of God through greater knowledge and study of His word.

What beliefs does gtWow uphold?

• The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.

Is gtWow a non-commercial venture?

gtWow does NOT charge for use of the website or tools within gtwow.org, does NOT accept donations, does NOT receive affiliate or advertising income, and does NOT profit in any other manner. gtWow operations and expenditures are personally funded.

Who can use gtWow Compare?

gtWow tools are available for use only by individuals and non-commercial organizations that use the tools in ways consistent with Christian understanding of the Bible.

Does gtWow Compare use cookies?

gtWow uses a minimal amount of strictly necessary 1st & 3rd party cookies for the site to function properly and safely. The cookies gtWow uses are to handle processing of session form data, prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and analyze site usage and performance. The cookies do not store any personally identifiable information about the user.

How does gtWow Compare handle Bible translations with copyright?

Various translations of scripture in gtWow tools are copyrighted, while other translations of scripture exist in the Public Domain. When a copyrighted translation of scripture is presented within a gtWow tool, a copyright statement supplied by the publisher is displayed to the user in accordance with the publisher's copyright. gtWow adheres to requirements set forth by the copyright holders including, but not limited to, volume of scripture displayed, explicit non-commercial use, and unadulterated use of scripture in good faith.

Does gtWow Compare cache scripture data?

A minimal amount of scripture, in the form of individual verses, is cached by gtWow tools in compliance with applicable API guidelines. Verse cacheing is only used to improve performance of gtWow tools and is not used to harvest data from Bible data API providers. Providers of Bible data routinely update their data and require data consumers like gtWow to display the most current data to its users.

gtWow programmatically adheres to the following scripture cacheing guidelines:

• Verses from a single Bible translation are limited to 500 cached verses
• Individual verses are purged from cache after 30 days
