6By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for;
And by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil.
6 By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil.

6 By loyalty and faithfulness, iniquity will be covered over,
and by fear of Yahweh ⌊one turns⌋ from evil.

through fearing the Lord one avoids evil.
