26but unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and slayeth him, even so is this matter;
26 But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death. For this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor,
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
26 But you shall not do anything to the young woman, for there is not reckoned against the young woman ⌊a sin deserving death⌋; ⌊it is similar to when⌋ a man rises up against his neighbor and murders him, ⌊a fellow human being⌋, just so is this ⌊case⌋,
26and you do not do anything to the girl—the girl has no deadly sin; for as a man rises against his neighbor and has murdered him, [taking] a life, so [is] this thing;
``But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case.
26Do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no crime worthy of death. She is as innocent as a murder victim.
